The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
